Things Are Not Always
What They Seem To Be

I just love playing with color and texture. First, came a variety of patterns and colors that I laid on the canvas. This is the part that takes me so long; I really was not sure what I would make—I just had to create as I worked. I found a blue piece of paper and I had a previously cut out face ... then I laid it on the leaves.

Voila! A new guy was emerging, now I had to find an eye for him. After much gluing, snipping, painting, and moving things around, I was finally finished.

The image size is 8x10 on canvas board.
